To broaden students' international perspectives, further foster an atmosphere of international exchange and overseas study within the school, and help students better understand the policies and processes of overseas study, the School recently organized a sharing session on overseas study experiences. The event featured distinguished alumni from the 2018 cohort, including Zhang Yingfei, a graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a selected candidate for the Wuxi City Overseas Talents Program. Also sharing were Zhang Jingyue, an accounting major who progressed to King's College London, and Duan Hejia, an international economics and trade major who advanced to Hong Kong Polytechnic University. They discussed their experiences with overseas study and exchange applications, as well as their preparations for the Overseas Talents Program, and answered questions. The event was hosted by the School’s international exchange counselor, Mr. Wu Song.

At the beginning of the event, Xu Jing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Associate Dean of the School, had a cordial conversation with the sharing guests, expressing blessings and expectations for their overseas study at prestigious universities. She hoped that through the alumni sharing, students could use this exchange meeting as an opportunity to plan their study abroad paths early and explore more possibilities for their future overseas studies.

Following this, Zhang Yingfei from the 2018 cohort, who progressed to the Chinese University of Hong Kong and was selected for the Wuxi City Overseas Talents Program, shared her study experiences at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She compared the training programs, professional courses, internship practices, and graduation requirements of domestic and overseas postgraduate studies and shared her preparation experience for the Wuxi City Overseas Talents Program. Zhang Jingyue, an accounting major who progressed to King's College London, shared her exchange experience at the University of Edinburgh, where she excelled and received the Jiangsu Provincial Government Overseas Student Scholarship. She advised younger students to plan their overseas study paths early, emphasizing that besides meeting language proficiency requirements, high-quality internships and study exchanges are key to successfully obtaining offers from prestigious universities. Duan Hejia, an international economics and trade major who progressed to Hong Kong Polytechnic University, mainly shared the basic requirements for applying to Hong Kong schools, GPA requirements, and TOEFL preparation. She outlined the timeline for overseas study applications and suggested that younger students focus on learning professional knowledge in their first and second years, strive to improve their GPA, and work towards securing their desired offers.

The School of Business has always valued students' overseas exchanges and study progress. Through various activities such as IELTS training camps, English dubbing festivals, global education fairs, study abroad carnivals, and returnee growth talks, the school provides platforms for students. They invite outstanding peers to share their study abroad application strategies and experiences, supporting business students in their overseas study pursuits. It is hoped that through the overseas study sharing session, students will further clarify their personal goals, plan their study paths early, prepare for language exams, participate in high-quality internships or study exchanges, enrich their resumes, and be well-prepared to apply for more prestigious university offers.
